The border of the tarsoly was studded with a line of triangular
mounts ornamented with a trefoil palmette, whose lower leaves
enclose two small, round openings. The one leaf-shaped, and four
triangular mounts of the closing strap are similarly decorated
with palmettes. The parallel of this mount-ornamented tarsoly
is known from Karos and from Eastern-Europe.
